I'm a visionary tech entrepreneur, often humorously considering myself the "Chief Trouble Officer" due to my knack for shaking things up and solving problems. My tech journey began at 15, working with IBM, Nuance, and others on speech recognition and communications platforms. These experiences have shaped my approach to strategy, innovation, and leadership.
Currently, I'm excited to lead Consig, a company revolutionizing conversational AI and automation. Leveraging our team’s 100+ years of experience in mission-critical voice platforms, we provide innovative, reliable, and scalable AI solutions to tackle complex business challenges and enhance customer engagement. Previously, I led Sighthound as CTO, and then CEO, developing advanced computer vision technologies. As co-founder and CTO of Voxeo, I helped create the communications platform (CPaaS) industry and standards such as VoiceXML, CCXML, and WebRTC, leading to a successful $250m exit with acquisitions by Aspect (now Alvaria) and Cisco Webex through the Tropo spin-off.
At Plum Voice, I drove transformation as President and CTO, revamping the company's culture and leadership, focusing on cloud and AI technologies, leading to growth and operational efficiency. These efforts culminated in a strategic merger with SharpenCX, enhancing our market position.
Throughout my career, I've been deeply involved in M&A activities, contributing to both sell-side and buy-side transactions. I played key roles in the sell-side exits of Voxeo to Aspect and Plum Voice to SharpenCX, ensuring smooth transitions. On the buy-side, I've been part of over 15 deals with Voxeo, Aspect, and Sighthound, leading due diligence and integration efforts. This has given me a comprehensive understanding of the M&A landscape, enabling strategic growth and effective integrations.
