The vCon Hackathon ’26 officially kicks off on March 23 in Dallas.

​

Unlike traditional hackathons that last a weekend, this initiative will run for six months, giving participants time to collaborate and develop next-generation applications, services, and infrastructure built around vCons.

Participants from around the world are invited to take part.

​

Those who attend the kickoff in Dallas will be able to meet other participants, discuss ideas during the Unconference sessions, and begin forming project teams.

​

Those who are not able to join us on March 23 will still be able to participate by joining the hackathon afterward and collaborating virtually throughout the program.

​

Members of the vCon Foundation will serve as mentors to help guide participating teams.

Monthly Mentor Sessions will be held throughout the program, giving teams an opportunity to share progress, receive feedback, and collaborate with other participants.

​

Participants are encouraged to experiment with voice APIs, network APIs, and developer platforms, including tools such as those provided by Vonage, to create applications and services powered by conversational intelligence.

​

The goal is not only to generate, process, or analyze vCons, but to explore new services and applications made possible when conversations themselves become structured data.

​

With the combination of vCons, AI, and communications APIs, developers can begin building second-derivative applications that were never before practical or possible.

​

Selected teams will have the opportunity to showcase their projects at Fall ’26 vCon in Atlanta this October.
