MONDAY, MARCH 23RD
vCon UnConference (as of 3-12-26)
The vCon UnConference is an open-format gathering where the agenda is created by the participants.

UnConferences have been part of the technology and innovation community for many years. The format became widely known through early developer gatherings such as Foo Camp and BarCamp, as well as collaborative communities like Kinnernet, where participants come together to share ideas without a rigid, pre-planned program.

Instead of publishing a fixed agenda months in advance, the schedule for the vCon Unconference will be created at the start of the day.

Participants are encouraged to think ahead of time about topics they would like to discuss, questions they want to explore, or ideas they would like to share with others attending the event.

At the beginning of the session, attendees will be invited to propose discussion topics and volunteer to lead short sessions. These sessions typically run in 20–30 minute blocks, allowing a wide range of conversations to take place throughout the day.

Some sessions will focus on technology.
Others may explore product ideas, new services, or emerging business opportunities.
Some may simply bring together people trying to understand where structured conversation data is taking the communications industry.

Participants are welcome to present an idea, demonstrate a tool, ask a question, or lead a discussion.

Developers participating in the vCon Hackathon ’26 are especially encouraged to join the Unconference discussions. Many hackathon projects begin with conversations like these, where ideas are shared and collaborators find each other.
The goal is to bring together people exploring the future of communication infrastructure and give them a space to share what they are learning, what they are building, and where they believe the industry is heading
